The second time around, couldn't be better,
Here comes that sound again, running hoofs
up the walk, the door flinging open wide.
Hi granmma, Hi papa, knowing they are going
to recieve our undivided attention.
At the same time, we take a deep breath,
and ready ourselves for the hours ahead.

Our day will be action packed, our activities will include, What ever they want!, i discovered very early on, its not worth the effort to fight it, just learn to enjoy it.

Relax, most activities last a very short time, their attention span is very short. Just smile and pretend you know exactly what they are saying, or you will hear those precious little phrases,

IF YOU PRIDE YOURSELF IN THE TIDINESS OF YOUR HOME, FORGET IT!
IF YOU DON'T FEEL LIKE GETTING DOWN ON YOUR HANDS AND KNEES, GET USED TO IT!
IF YOU WERE NOT PLANNING ON BAKING OR PLAYING PLAYDOUGH, IT'LL BE OK, AFTER THEY LEAVE, IT WILL ONLY TAKE AN HOUR OR TWO TO CLEAN UP!
DON'T FORGET THE THINGS YOU'LL DISCOVER IN YOUR OWN BACKYARD, BIRDS, SQUIRRELS, BUGS, AND OF COURSE, THEY LOVE TO DEAD HEAD YOU'RE BEAUTIFUL FLOWERS!



There's hope ! "Quiet Time", I will be forever grateful to that wonderful human being that created "Quiet Time".

This is where you get to catch your breath, aahhhhhhh!

This is also the time you get to catch up on the events of the day! dumping the blocks, tipped over crayons, accidental spills, But do it "quietly", don't want to "wake em".

Worth while tip! during quiet time grab a book, perhaps exercise to keep yourself in shape, would be a good choice.
